Solar Flares May 23 2024. Monday, may 06, 2024 16:35 utc. The image shows a blend of 171 angstrom and 131 angstrom light, subsets of extreme ultraviolet light.

The flares came mainly from two active regions on the sun called ar 13663 and ar 13664. The storm created beautiful auroras, causing skies to sparkle and dance at much lower latitudes than usual.
